Omar al-Jabri is the son of a former high ranked Saudi official. He was arrested with his siter Sarah al-Jabri to pressure his father to return to the country after he fled in 2017.

January 2020 - He was transfered from the secret prison to Al-Hayer prison. -
10 September 2020 - They appeared in the regular criminal court and one of the judges in the regular criminal court was one of Khashoggi's judges and the charge was an attempted escape and the trial was secret and the family was prevented from entering and during the entire trial Omar and Sarah (his sister) were not able to see their lawyers and there were 4 sessions in 3 weeks. It is not known who the public prosecutor is and the verdict was: 9 years in prison for Omar and the same period of a travel ban and 6 and a half years for Sarah and the same period of a travel ban. -
16 March 2020 - 50 people from State Security in civilian clothes came with 20 cars and two women, raided the house, took items and devices, and took the memory card for the surveillance cameras, and hid them (him and Sarah) in a secret prison. During that time, the security forces came to search the house more than once. -
4 September 2018 - Omar and Sarah (his sister) were summoned and interrogated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Riyadh. -
