Sarah al-Jabri is the daughter of a former high ranked Saudi official. She was arrested with her brother Omar al-Jabri to pressure their father to return to the country after he fled in 2017.

During that time, the security forces came to search the house more than once.

  • January 2020 - She was transfered from the secret prison to Al-Malaz prison.
  • 10 September 2020 - They appeared in the regular criminal court and one of the judges in the regular criminal court was one of Khashoggi's judges and the charge was an attempted escape and the trial was secret and the family was prevented from entering and during the entire trial Sarah and Omar (her brother) were not able to see their lawyers and there were 4 sessions in 3 weeks. It is not known who the public prosecutor is and the verdict was:  6 and a half years for Sarah and the same period of a travel ban and 9 years in prison for Omar and the same period of a travel ban.
  • 16 March 2020 -
  • 4 September 2018 - Sarah and Omar (her brother) were summoned and interrogated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Riyadh.
  • 2017 - From 2017 to 2018 they were banned from traveling (her and all his family members)
  • November 2017 - In November 2017, the bank accounts of all family members were frozen.
